每天有无数画面从视网膜前飞过，我们的大脑如何去组织眼睛看到的各种事物？加州伯克利的科学家发现，大脑会将所有对象归类，按类别作出反应。他们制作了大脑组织信息的交互图。
在实验中，五位研究人员观看了2小时的电影片段，期间的大脑活动通过功能性核磁共振成像(fMRI)记录下来。大脑扫描还同时测量了数千位置的血液流动。研究人员然后利用线性回归分析寻找数据的相关性，建模显示大脑皮质3万个位置如何对电影中1700个类别的对象和动作作出反应。他们发现不同的人有着相似的语义布局。人类、动物、家用电器和运动代表着不同类别，对应着不同的视觉皮质区域。 [embedded content]
