据《南华早报》报导，中国官方媒体CCTV四月二日晚间新闻报道了英国维珍大西洋航空公司的一条消息，称维珍的飞机将使用玻璃地板，让乘客能体验一下腾云驾雾（如图所示）。问题是这个消息是维珍官方博客在4月1日放出的愚人节新闻。此前，《人民日报》曾引用洋葱新闻报导说朝鲜独裁者是全世界最性感的男人；而新华社上月引用假消息说经济学家保罗·克鲁格曼破产了。
