苹果软件工程主管哈伯德离职任职12年

网易科技讯 6月27日消息，据国外媒体报道，在苹果供职长达12年的软件工程主管乔丹•哈伯德（Jordan Hubbard）已经离职，加盟iXsystems公司。

iXsystems近日宣布了聘用哈伯德的消息，他将领导iXsystems的工程和开发工作，负责开源存储平台FreeNAS业务，及扩大TrueNAS统一存储工具的用户基础。哈伯德还将从事新兴企业和消费者市场方面的项目。
作为FreeBSD项目的联合创始人，哈伯德已经做了超过25年的软件工程师。他于2011年6月加盟苹果，此后出任软件工程主管一职，负责Mac OS X和iOS系统的BSD和Unix技术开发。
根据他自己的描述，他长期支持开源作为工程协作和新社区创建的方式，并长期为此作出贡献。他的专长包括界面设计和开发者工具包制作。(乐邦)
