　　【TechWeb报道】8月6日消息，据国外媒体报道，911metalurgis网站称，在为用户维修iPhone时，苹果通常会向用户提出"整机回收"的要求，这样做的原因除了iPhone机身内部零件不易拆卸外，还有一个重要的原因就是：1吨iPhone能够提炼出9.27盎司黄金，这比很多优质金矿矿石的含金量要高。
　　Socialbarrel网站称，一部iPhone 5手机包含着价值1.58美元的黄金、0.36美元的银、0.12美元的铜、0.05美元的铝、0.02美元的铂，这样看可能算不了什么；但如果是500万部iPhone 5，就会变成790万美元黄金、180万美元银——iPhone 5发售首周就卖出了500万部。
　　911metalurgist网站又做了进一步对比调查。从秘鲁著名的Yanacocha Complex金矿开采的一吨矿石，采矿公司最终可以提炼出0.03盎司的黄金，而一吨iPhone可以提炼出9.72盎司黄金，两者相差324倍。
　　从智利Escondida铜矿开采的一吨矿石，采矿公司最终可以提炼出21磅铜，而一吨iPhone可以提炼出283.5磅的铜，两者相差13倍；从澳大利亚Cannington开采一吨银矿，采矿公司最终可以提炼出的银比一顿iPhone可以提炼出的银少6.5倍；不过，从南非Bushveld Complex开采一吨铂金矿，提炼出来的铂比一顿iPhone提炼出来的比铂多3.3倍。
　　然而，电子产品回收公司Cloud Blue CEO肯 拜耳(Ken Beyer)指出，并非只有iPhone手机的金属含量高，其他电子产品的金属含量平均都很高。(小峰)
