开源电子书管理工具Calibre在历尽六年开发之后正式发布了1.0版。开发者表示，过去一年Calibre加入了大量新特性，其中值得一提的重要特性包括：图书封面的网格视图浏览，更快的后端数据库，虚拟图书馆，支持将微软word文档格式转换为流行的电子书格式EPUB或AZW3，完整支持字体嵌入，简化电子书目录编辑，重写PDF输出引擎，不需要完全转换的情况修改电子书。
