微软或会推出7.5英寸的Surface mini

虽然微软已经发布了Surface 2及Surface Pro 2平板，但仍有传闻表示 Surface 会推出 "mini"型设备。CNET报道称，专注于平板显示产业与产业链研究的 NPD DisplaySearch 以及 IHS iSuppli 分析公司都相信微软更小型号的 Surface 平板会选用 7.5 英寸的显示屏。而 The Verge 方面也了解到微软正对未来 Surface 产品做型号上的测试，当中也特别包括了的 7.5 英寸。

目前 Surface RT、Surface Pro 及二代平板都采用了 10.6 英寸的规格，和传说中的 7.5 英寸一样都不是市面上太常见的规格。而微软早些时候在更新 Windows 8.1 的开发者工具时就特别涵盖了对 4：3 纵横比、1440*1080 分辨率的 7.5 英寸平板的参考。和 4：3 纵横比、1400*1050 分辨率的传闻挺接近。
到目前为止，微软方面还没有对这个传言做正面回答。而 Surface 的发明人 Panos Panay 在接受这个问题的采访时似乎有点否定的意思——他表示，Surface 有机会创造的生产力有相当一部分会取决于它的规格大小。在流行小平板的今天，如果 Surface 真出 mini 版，你会买吗？
