根据Net Market Share的数据：2013年9月，Windows XP市场占有率降至三成左右，而IE6首次降到了5%以内，它们都将在明年4月终止支持。在浏览器市场，IE占57.80%，比上月略增0.2个百分点，Firefox占18.60%，Chrome 15.96%，Safari 5.77%，Opera 1.47%，它们的份额都比上月出现了略微的下滑。IE8依旧是最流行的浏览器版本，占21.41%，之后是IE10的19.43%（增加了1.22%），Chrome 29.0的12.78%，Firefox 23 11.55%，IE9 9.44%，IE6 4.87%，比上个月下跌了约1.2个百分点。在操作系统市场，Windows 7占46.39%， Windows XP 31.42%，下跌了超过2个百分点，Windows 8 8.02%，Windows 8的增长势头趋缓，9月份只增加0.59%，而8月份增加了约2%，Windows Vista 3.98%。看目前的趋势，IE6的份额正快速减少，但XP还是牢牢占据了第二的位置。
