上周末在Twitter上对美航开恐吓玩笑的14岁荷兰少女Sarah本周一被捕，女孩在父母的陪同下到警局自首，随后被接受审问。她在@美国航空公司的帖子中称自己来自阿富汗，隶属于基地组织，准备在6月1日对美航客机发动攻击。美航随后回应称，他们对此类威胁非常严肃，称她的IP地址和其它信息将会转发给保安处和FBI。Sarah感到害怕后发了多个帖子，强调只是在开玩笑。Twitter表示，除非执法机构提出请求，它不会与任何人共享用户信息，美航没有进一步解释如何获得Sarah的IP地址。此事并没有减少反而推动了更多青少年Twitter用户开炸弹玩笑。
