全球航空公司承诺"不再让另一架飞机消失"，它们已制定计划，确保飞行中的飞机得到妥善追踪，以避免马航370航班失踪的事件重演。国际航空运输协会周二表示，将成立"特别工作组"，研究追踪商用飞机的可用选择。结论将最迟在12月公布。国际航空运输协会总干事汤彦麟(Tony Tyler)表示："在我们的一举一动似乎都可以追踪的当今世界，人们很难想象一架飞机竟然会消失，而飞行数据和驾驶舱语音记录器这么难回收。"
