惠普在2010以12亿美元收购了Palm，2011年发布了多款webOS智能手机和一款平板，但随后这些产品全都放弃，webOS成了开源操作系统。今年初惠普将webOS项目独立出来成立了Gram。CNET报导说，LG正与Gram合作开发运行webOS的智能电视。LG在WebOS和Google TV中选择了WebOS，原因是担心Google过多的干预和控制电视平台的外观。另一个移动操作系统的消息是，三星计划杀死了Bada全力推动Tizen，Tizen 2.0 Magnolia SDK 上周刚刚发布。
