老年金鱼"爱因斯坦"患上浮鳔病时，未来前景一片黯淡。这种普遍存在于观赏鱼同时控制它们浮力的疾病使爱因斯坦颠倒过来，沉到水箱底部。但从英国黑潭市的32岁主人雷顿-奈洛尔给它穿上自制"救生衣"后，它的生活开始渐有起色。

穿上救生衣后，爱因斯坦不能到水面进食，所以纳洛尔就把一根软管伸到水中，给它喂食。如果这条鱼很不舒服，他就给它换上小点的救生衣，好使它吃进食物。
