为什么中国官方媒体要对苹果公司展开令人不解、持续时间长达两周的攻击？从事后的观察看，中国此举无疑是要迫使苹果屈服，不是为了什么保修政策，而是内容审查。对苹果保修政策的抨击，只是醉翁之意。《金融时报》报道称（付费墙），苹果开始审查中国应用商店，移除掉被当局认为含有非法内容的应用。"经典书城"应用开发者表示，他收到了苹果来函，称其应用因包含在中国非法的内容而下架。他的应用中有作家王力雄的三本"禁书"。苹果的条款里明确指出应用内容必须遵守当地法律，但这款应用已在商店上线了好几个月，下架的时机实在太巧合了。
